Measurement of Optical Quality Parameters of Crystalline Lithium-Sodium Molybdate
Lithium-sodium molybdate is a new promising material for creating optical components of high-power laser systems. For such application, the crystals used must be of high optical quality; in particular, they should have high laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT), low optical absorption index and low optical scattering coefficient. This work presents the results of measurement of the above parameters at 1064 nm in crystalline lithium-sodium molybdate. The optical absorption index was measured using piezoelectric resonance laser calorimetry, the optical scattering coefficient was measured using standardized integrating sphere technique, and the laser damage threshold was measured in 1-on-1 test.
