Fault Identification of Autotransformer Traction Network Based on Incremental Current Differential Angle Method
A fault identification method for segmental autotransformer (AT) traction network is proposed, which can reduce the range of accidental power outage and improve the reliability of power supply. Firstly, based on the faulty and non-faulty current characteristics of the AT traction network, the incremental current differential angle (ICDA) relationship is derived for various fault types in each subsection. Furthermore, a fault identification method is proposed, which can identify the faulty subsection of the AT traction network as well as distinguish the fault types according to the ICDA variations of the contact wire and the negative feeder. Finally, a simulation model is established to analyze the correctness of the derivation of the ICDA relationship and verify the effectiveness of the proposed fault identification method.
