IMPLEMENTATION OF VIRTUAL REALITY AS A DEMONSTRATION TOOL IN A BALLISTIC LABORATORY

Industry 4.0 is revolutionizing automation and services, highlighting virtual reality (VR) as a crucial pillar for new user experiences. This study, carried out in a ballistic protection equipment company, involves commitments in traveling customers to understand the ballistic laboratory and its validation methodologies according to standards. The implementation of VR aims to improve material approval times by providing an improved view of product validation methods and equipment. The objective of this article is to evaluate the use of a VR application to demonstrate testing methodologies in an armor company's ballistic laboratory. Developed based on DSR (Design Science Research), the project ranges from problem identification to application approval, which achieved 90% flexibility among the company's experts when integrating the use of the application into validation processes. The application of this project facilitated the validation of new projects, streamlined technical meetings and process presentations, as validated by experts in the ballistics field.
