Avrupa Birliği Ülkelerinin Çevre Performanslarının İstatistiksel Analiz Yardımıyla İncelenmesi
This study aims to comprehensively examine the environmental performance of European Union (EU) countries using statistical methods. The EU has developed various policies to ensure environmental sustainability and combat climate change, making the evaluation of these policies crucial for shaping future strategies. In this research, descriptive statistical techniques such as cluster analysis and principal component analysis were used to assess and compare the environmental indicators of member states. The findings reveal significant differences in environmental performance among EU countries, with these disparities being influenced by their socio-economic structures. Key factors affecting environmental performance include economic growth, industrialization, energy consumption, and natural resource management. The study identifies the strengths and weaknesses of environmental policies based on data analysis, highlighting the importance of data-driven decision-making processes. Insights into the relationships between environmental indicators provided in the study will assist policymakers in developing more effective and targeted environmental strategies. By offering policy recommendations aimed at improving environmental performance, this research seeks to contribute to the EU’s environmental goals aligned with sustainable development. In conclusion, the systematic analysis of EU countries’ environmental performance demonstrates the importance of evaluating current policies and developing future strategies. The study contributes to both academic literature and policy-making processes, laying the foundation for a broader understanding of environmental sustainability.
