Advices on Life from the Divan of Rezê Jîyanê

In this study, the Divan named Rezê Jiyanê of the Kurdish poet Mela Eladînê Kopî, who was born in 1937 in Gündüzü village of Bulanık district of Muş, was analyzed in terms of the advices it contained. The work of Mela Eladînê Kopî, one of the heirs of the poets who prefers to write poetry in the classical literary style, has been written in the aruz meter and consists of three parts. When his poems in the mentioned work are examined, it is easiy recognized that he wants to convey advice and counsel to the readers in almost every poem. In this study, only the advices found in the poet's Divan named Rezê Jiyanê were classified under relevant headings and examined in terms of content with the text analysis and analysis method. The works of Molla Cizîrî, Feqiyê Teyran and many other classical Kurdish poets have been analyzed from different aspects up to now, but since there aren’t sufficient analysis and comparison of the works of the poets who continue this tradition, the research conducted in this field is important and attempts to eliminate the deficiencies in the field of Kurdish studies. As a result of the survey, it has been determined that Mela Eladînê Kopî, in his Divan named Rezê Jiyanê, expressed his advice in many different areas that can be described as both daily life and the purpose and truth of life in a poetic way and warned the reader about different subjects based on both his readings and life experiences.
