A substituição de cursos de curta duração por cursos de Ciências Aeronáuticas no licenciamento inicial de profissionais aviadores

This work consists of an investigation into the education process of future aviators. To that end, an exploratory and bibliographic research was conducted, delving into the fields of learning sciences and the current training of aviator pilots in Brazil. The objective was to ascertain whether the undergraduate program in Aeronautical Sciences can contribute to enhancing aviation safety by replacing massive short-duration courses. At the conclusion of this research, it was observed that the education process for aviators could be improved through the mandatory inclusion of Aeronautical Sciences courses. By replacing short-duration medium-level piloting courses, these courses provide a conducive environment for spaced learning, resulting in better retention of memories in the long term. This enables aviators professionals to retain, retrieve, and apply critical information with more confidence and precision in aviation, as this information stems from more significant learning processes when made available in the job market.
