The Role of Diffusion - Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Characterizing Focal Liver Lesions
Focal liver lesions (FLL) present significant diagnostic challenges in clinical practice, necessitating accurate differentiation between benign and malignant entities. This paper reviews the utility of diffusion - weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW - MRI) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) measurements in evaluating hepatic masses. By synthesizing current literature, we aim to elucidate the diagnostic potential of DW - MRI and its implications for patient management.
