Promoción de la conciencia lingüística desde el currículo de lengua y literatura: reflexiones pedagógicas sobre el voseo como variedad dialectal

This paper focuses on the linguistic aspects of voseo in Chile, from a pedagogical orientation. Not only the diachrony of the system is analyzed, but also the current uses that are recognized in young speakers and in the mass media, as bridges of communicative exchange and idiosyncrasy of the speaking communities. In this sense, it is analyzed how this dialect variety, which does not enjoy prestige or formal recognition, does constitute a form validated by the grammatical standard and widely used, so understanding its nature is also understanding the expressive richness of the language. Therefore, a crossover is made between the transversality of use of the second person system (voseo) and the way in which communicative diversity is recognized in the subject of Language and Literature in Secondary Education, in order to strengthen linguistic awareness. of students as social subjects.
