Capture and Protection of Environmental DNA in a Metal‐Organic Framework
Environmental DNA Environmental DNA (eDNA) provides a way to detect species without direct observation. Typically collected by filtration, this process can be time-consuming and cumbersome in the field. Using the metal-organic framework ZIF-8, the authors introduce a filter-free approach that enhances both eDNA capture and preservation, offering a simpler, more efficient solution for field applications.
