Monitoring and management of electrostatic wristbands using dashboard
Static electricity can cause significant damage to sensitive electronic components, leading to failures and financial losses. The aim of the study was to establish control methods for the operation of antistatic wristbands using Wi-Fi communication and IoT. The research was characterized as applied and qualitative, with an exploratory approach and an action research method. Data collection was carried out through monitoring forms, involving workers on production lines who use antistatic wristbands. The implementation of the monitoring system aimed to replace manual control with an automated solution, which uses a transmitter box to send data to a central dashboard, accessible via tablet. The installation of the equipment included the configuration of the antistatic wristbands, transmitter boxes and the monitoring system. Preliminary tests ensured connectivity and real-time data transmission. The functionality of the system was validated through tests with RFID and sensors, confirming the effectiveness of continuous monitoring of the wristbands and the ability to detect problems in real time. It is concluded that the system was compared with the previous manual monitoring, showing a significant improvement, with 100% coverage and real-time monitoring, eliminating the need for manual verification and increasing safety and accuracy.
