Conceptualization of the discourse of Islam in modern Russia: the cognitive-pragmatic aspect
The scientific novelty is due to the increasing influence of the Russian language on the conceptualization of Islamic discourse, which generally creates a two–fold situation: on the one hand, Islamic discourse is widespread in the Russian Federation, since Russian is understandable to all its citizens, has the status of the state language and is one of the most developed languages of the world, on the other hand there is a certain threat to national security and the confessional identity of Muslims, since historically Russian has been the language of Orthodox Christians. As a result, it was revealed that the acquisition and preservation of national identity is largely determined by religious and confessional worldviews, verbalized by means of a specific national language. The discourse of Islam in the Russian Federation is characterized by the widespread use of the possibilities of the Russian language as a language of interethnic interaction, which has the status of a state language. The Russian speaking Islamic discourse is characterized by the use of stable constructions such as cripples from the Church Slavonic language, literal translation from the national languages of Islam of the Russian Federation, the influence on the confessional worldview of components of the linguistic worldview of ethnic Russians who came to Islam. The discourse of Islam in the Russian Federation is currently characterized by three main strategies: Russification, academism, and Arabization, which equally expand the cognitive and pragmatic possibilities of this institutional discourse.
