Method: This type of research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique used accidental sampling totaling 52 respondents with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis was carried out using Kendall's correlation. Results: From 52 respondents, 36 respondents (69%) had good knowledge about ICU, and 16 respondents (31%) had poor knowledge about ICU. Good decision- making support was obtained for 31 respondents (60%), sufficient for 6 respondents (11%), and lacking for 15 respondents (29%). The results of the Kendall Tau correlation test to determine the relationship between family knowledge about ICU and support for decision-making in critical patient care in ICU were 0.010 (<0.05), which means there is a significant relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between family knowledge and the role of decision-making in critical care in the ICU.Suggestion: Further research is needed comparing the level of decision-making support based on different emergencies.
