Retraction notice to “Performance-based Pareto optimization and multi-attribute decision making of an actual indirect-expansion solar-assisted heat pump system” [J. Build. Eng. 42 (2021) 103053]

This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal ( https://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy ). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editors-in-chief. Following a pubpeer post [ https://www.pubpeer.com/publications/32DFD0AD0A2F00C9FAAAD05E893A5C#1 ], an investigation of this paper was initiated by the editors. Upon investigation, multiple issues were identified. It was determined that this paper contains multiple citations of unrelated references; the corresponding author claims that these citations resulted from an error in the citation software used. Further, it was determined that this paper is an instance of “salami slicing” and duplicate submission. An essentially identical paper [ https://doi.org/10.1016/j.solener.2021.08.003 ] was published on 6 August 2021, which was submitted on 6 March 2021 in the period of the reviewing process of this paper. The only notable difference in the papers is the selection of case study: Beijing in this JBE paper and Tehran in the Solar Energy paper. As a result of this investigation, the editors no longer have confidence in the integrity of this paper. The authors do not agree with this retraction.
