Role of Cardiac biomarkers in cardiac disorders
A biomarker is “a characteristic that is objectively measured and quantified as an indicator of normal biological processes, pathogenic processes or pharmacological response to a therapeutic intervention.” Importance of cardiac biomarkers are great in the time, and perfect management and diagnosis of prognosis as well as the acute coronary syndrome. Cardiac biomarkers are also a powerful tool for triaging. In many biomarkers, myocardial enzymes, biomarkers examined the first and then various peptides, many other molecules and myocardial proteins were studied. Biomarkers of myocardial damage include: Myocardial ischemia biomarkers: A fatty acid-binding protein "Ischemia-modified albumin" is found in the heart (H-FABP) Hemodynamic stress biomarkers: B-type natriuretic peptide, NT-proBNP, Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), NPs (Natriuretic peptides). Prognostic & inflammatory biomarkers: Homocysteine, sCD40L, CRP(hs C-reactive protein) [1].
