La coincidencia de lo dado con el modo de darse. El acontecimiento más allá de la metafísica en Jean-Luc Marion
The present article revolves around a major problem in Jean-Luc Marionʼs phenomenology: how a passive, a posteriori subject, which is given in the very reception of the phenomenon, can in turn be considered as the a priori subject that (actively) carries out the reduction to givenness. This leads us to clarify the emergence of this ‶new subject″ in charge of that reduction (the gifted), who is given as the ‶responsible″ for the visibility of all the other given phenomena. The ‶giving itself over to″ that what appears on the part of the gifted means that her is already an integral part of the givenness. If the givenness consists in the simple and spontaneous living of phenomena, those given phenomena which concern us most closely reveal the paradoxical formality of what we call the ‶coincidence between the given and its way of being given″. This coincidence, the very gesture of the ‶pure gift″, the ‶state of grace″ involved in the event, can finally open the way out of metaphysics: the ‶pure gift″ happens, along with the ‶gifted″, by coming forward without measure, not identical to itself and without previous reason, breaking the two principles of metaphysics: the principle of identity and the principle of sufficient reason.
