Long-Term Outcomes of Critically Ill Survivors of COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic led to the largest cohort of survivors of severe COVID-19 and ARDS, many requiring ICU admission and mechanical ventilation support. These patients are the most susceptible to demonstrating persistent sequelae; however, the longterm sequelae (3 years) remain unknown. Our objective was to describe functional, radiologic, and symptomatic outcomes as well as the health care impact at 36 months in patients with COVID-19 treated in the ICU who continue to experience sequelae 24 months after discharge.
