Fake target Recognition Based on AIS Signal Propagation Attenuation

AIS has become an important information system to ensure the safety of ship navigation. Then malicious users could use the openness and non-encryption of the protocol to generate fake targets into the AIS system, which poses a threat to the safety of ship navigation. For the AIS fake target threat, a recognition model based on AIS signal propagation attenuation is proposed. The feasibility of this method is verified by simulation, and the AIS fake target recognition is realized quickly and accurately.

Abstract

AIS has become an important information system to ensure the safety of ship navigation. Then malicious users could use the openness and non-encryption of the protocol to generate fake targets into the AIS system, which poses a threat to the safety of ship navigation. For the AIS fake target threat, a recognition model based on AIS signal propagation attenuation is proposed. The feasibility of this method is verified by simulation, and the AIS fake target recognition is realized quickly and accurately.
