Metamaterials:The future matter

Metamaterials are engineered materials, which are generally not found in nature i.e. their behaviors are very much different from general laws of physics. Their one or more property is modified so that they retaliate in a desired manner. Most of the human progress is constrained by material limits. The main aim is to improve the basic design and capability of materials to conduct tasks which are usually impossible to achieve with normal materials, to go beyond the limits of general material characteristics. The results are farfetched and beyond existing imagination. Various laws of optics, acoustics, thermodynamics and electromagnetics are redefined due to evolution of these materials. Meta materials interact with these physical phenomenon to do wonders like super lenses, cloaking, superconductivity of power in space etc
