Recent Advances in Organic Photodetectors with Biomedical Applications
In Photodetectors applied to next generation biomedicine need to be flexible and stretchable to adapt to the human body. Commercial photodetectors are made of inorganic with poor mechanical flexibility. On the contrary, the polymer and small molecule photodetectors have appeared as favorable options for their mechanical properties, procedure, and biocompatibility. This article summarizes the current progress in photodetectors with organic materials in their optoelectronic advances and highlights their use in portable electronics for health monitoring.
