Intelligent Concert Light Stick Control System Based on Internet of Things
This research outlines the design and implementation of an IoT WiFi-based smart light stick control system. It deploys WLAN for full-venue coverage, enabling automatic network access for every audience’s light stick, which then establishes communication with the control center based on seat numbers. At the control center, light sticks function as pixels on a dynamic display. Operators draw on a touchscreen, and the system maps these pixels, compiles color data, and transmits it via WiFi to receivers, controlling light sticks' illumination and colors in real-time. The system utilizes Arduino microcontroller for pixel counting, ESP8266 wireless module and WebSockets library function for network connection and communication. Upon receiving data, receiver microcontrollers match their positions to execute precise lighting. Preliminary tests confirm the system’s accuracy in pixel tracking and response to control commands, displaying targeted colors effectively.
