Genetic polymorphisms of several proteins involved in signal transduction are associated with cardiovascular control
This study is aimed to assess the effect of four selected single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of proteins involved in signal transduction, mostly related to $\alpha$-adrenergic sympathetic control of cardiovascular system. Effects of SNPs were assessed using measures reflecting various aspects of the neural control of heart and vessels in young healthy subjects. We conclude that analysis of a wide array of cadiovascular characteristics could reveal subtle differences in cardiovascular control associated with G protein coupled receptors variants.
