On the issue of professional choice of modern youth

The article examines the key factors that determine the professional choice of young people, as well as the difficulties that often arise on the path of professional self-determination, and indicates aspects that influence the choice of profession by young people. An appeal was made to individual studies by foreign and domestic researchers considering the problems of professional selfdetermination of young people. The results of a sociological survey conducted among 1st-3rd year students of Kaluga State University are presented. K. E. Tsiolkovsky.
