CASES MANAGEMENT OF MYOPIA ASTIGMATISM WITH PRESBYOPIA AFTER CATARACT SURGERY
Introduction: The eyes are an important organ in our body. If our vision function is disturbed, it will have an impact on reducing a person's quality of life. Decreased visual acuity can be caused by refractive errors consisting of hypermetropia, myopia and astigmatism. In several cases in previous research, it was found that a person did not only have one type of refractive error. However, it is very possible for someone to have a combination of refractive errors and even other diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, etc. Purpose : To formulate appropriate treatment for clients with myopia astigmatism presbyopia after cataract surgery. Case report: A 62 year old man came to the Refractive Unit with the main complaint that his old glasses were uncomfortable and he felt dazzled by the size of his old glasses. With AVOD correction results: SC 6/7.5 C-1.00 X80 ADD +3.00 CC 6/6 and AVOS: SC 6/60 S-0.50 C-3.50 OD has never had cataract surgery, the lens is still clear. OS had cataract surgery and IOL implantation. ODS appears Floater after surgery. OS sometimes feels glare from the left since the operation. OD is more comfortable when looking far away, whereas OS is more comfortable when looking up close. The client's diagnosis is OD Astigmatism Myopia simplex with presbyopia and OS Astigmatism Myopia composites with presbyopia. Then the client is given glasses with progressive lenses. Conclusions: The client was given progressive lens glasses with a glasses prescription that was appropriate to the complaint after cataract surgery. And the appropriate type of lens is given to overcome the glare felt by the client.
