Study on Developing the Unit Planner that can be Applied to Korea's National Curriculum using the IB MYP Unit Planner

Objectives The goal is to develop a unit plan, a lesson plan format that reflects the goals of the 2022 revised curriculum general theory. Methods In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the deliberation process of the bridge curriculum development model presented by Hong Hoo-jo (2016) was adopted, and the researcher developed a <First Draft> by considering the key points of IB MYP's Unit Planner and the 2022 revised curriculum general theory. In this regard, an opinion survey was conducted targeting 14 education doctors and an <Revision Draft> was developed. An FGI was conducted with 10 experts on the <Revision Draft> to derive the <Final Draft>. Results As a result of the research, a unit planner <final draft> format and usage plan that can be used for lesson design in the 2022 revised curriculum was presented. In the form, the achievement standards, desired human image, core competencies, and subject competencies presented in the 2022 revised curriculum are placed at the top so that teachers can prioritize them when designing classes. In addition, we developed a form that reflects the teaching and evaluation elements of the IB MYP unit planner to enable in-depth learning. Conclusions By using the unit planner, teachers will be able to more faithfully implement the points aimed at in the 2022 revised curriculum summary in their classroom classes, and the unit plan format will be able to be further developed through additional research.
