Design and Implementation of Learner-centered Online Learning Management System using Metaverse
Objectives In this study, we designed and implemented an online learning management system in which learner-centered classes are conducted in a metaverse space for university education. Methods We went through the procedures and methods of deriving development direction through analysis of previous research, designing system structure, learning process, functional module structure, and user interface, expert review of the implemented prototype, and system redesign and implementation. Results The learner-centered online learning management system using Metaverse was implemented with an educational environment setting function, an educational environment execution function, a real-time learning inspection function, and a learning result evaluation function. Conclusions Through the design and implementation of a learner-centered online learning management system using Metaverse, we sought to improve the quality and effectiveness of online classes by promoting learners' immersion and concentration, class interaction, and sense of presence.
