Student support management: strategies and impacts on the academic experience
Student support management plays a critical role in the academic experience and success of students. This article reviews studies that examine the effectiveness of support strategies and their impacts, highlighting the need for integrated approaches. Research suggests that services such as tutoring, academic advising, and technology support not only improve retention rates but also promote social and academic integration. Holistic approaches, such as co-location of services and the use of online technologies, demonstrate positive outcomes in student experience and engagement. However, gaps remain, especially in understanding how different services interact. The analysis highlights that structured, student-centered support models are essential to optimize learning and foster academic and personal development.
