ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM EM SITUAÇÕES DE DOENÇAS RELACIONADAS AO AMBIENTE DE TRABALHO
Workers exposed to inadequate occupational environments are subject to developing diseases such as repetitive strain injuries, respiratory diseases, and dermatoses. Nursing plays a central role in the early identification, treatment, and prevention of these diseases, in addition to promoting occupational health. The objective of the research was to identify how nursing care occurs in diseases related to the work environment, through a review of scientific literature in the Scielo, Google Scholar, and the Public Prosecutor's Manual databases. Articles published between 2019 and 2024 were used, with the descriptors: occupational diseases, occupational health, nursing interventions, nurse and worker health, and occupational risk assessment. After analyzing the data, it was revealed that nursing care is essential in the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases, contributing to the reduction of work absence rates. It is concluded that nurses play a fundamental role in promoting health in the workplace, being a key player in the implementation of preventive and educational strategies that aim to minimize occupational risks and promote a safer environment. Proactive nursing work not only reduces the prevalence of occupational diseases, but also improves workers' quality of life and enhances organizational efficiency by reducing the need for absences, reinforcing the importance of policies aimed at worker health.
