Accountability of the Community in Rendering HIV Care
The study investigates community accountability in HIV care by assessing leadership structures and preparedness in families and communities. Conducted as a cross - sectional study in the Kancheepuram District, it analyzed data from 1, 800 participants. Findings reveal significant gaps in HIV knowledge, including misconceptions about transmission and limited awareness of care resources. Despite these gaps, focus group discussions indicate a willingness among community groups to address stigma and support HIV - affected individuals. The study highlights the need for targeted educational interventions to empower communities and promote effective HIV care.
