Green Light for Green Growth: Simulating the Effect of Greenhouse Gases

This paper estimated and simulated the green growth effect of greenhouse gases (GHG) in Nigeria using the novel Dynamic Simulated Autoregressive Distributed Lag (DS-ARDL) approach and data covering 1990-2020. It was found that GHG emissions inhibit green growth and will continue to do so if their sources are not restrained. Thus, policies that promote renewable energy consumption over GHG-emitting practices should be adopted to mitigate GHG emissions.

It was found that GHG emissions inhibit green growth and will continue to do so if their sources are not restrained.
