Method of gender mainstreaming in contemporary history research: the case of the Republic of Moldova
The actuality of the introduction of the gender method in the research of contemporary history is argued by the fact that the classical method sometimes doesn’t form a complete image of the studied problem, if it is viewed in isolation from other sciences or interdisciplinary methods. As a result, in the study of modern history, it is indispensable to use the gender method, which allows overcoming existing methodological boundaries between different fields, thus creating an integrated image of the historical problem and, as a result, its complete analysis. Gender research in historical science is becoming more current in Romania, being a priority in the activity plan of the Contemporary History Research Center of the Faculty of History in Bucharest and the Romanian Social History Association. In the Republic of Moldova, research conducted through the lens of the gender method is carried out in many fields, such as: history, pedagogy, sociology, psychology, political science, etc.
