FILMOLOGIA ‘O DIABO VESTE PRADA’ E OS IMPACTOS DA MODA NA EXPRESSÃO DA IMAGEM: De que relações sociais estamos falando?
The present study analyzes the impacts of fashion on the expression of identity and social relationships, using the film The Devil Wears Prada as a central reference. Through the transformation of the protagonist, it reflects on how clothing shapes individual and collective perceptions and behaviors, exploring concepts such as enclothed cognition and psychosocial identity. The research seeks to understand how fashion influences self-image and interpersonal dynamics, proposing strategies to balance authenticity and social conformity. Adopting a qualitative exploratory case study design, it analyzes the film's narrative as an example of the influence of clothing on personal and professional perception. Through the transformation of protagonist Andrea Sachs, the study reflects on how fashion shapes social roles, self-esteem, and interpersonal interactions. The theoretical framework includes authors such as Adam and Galinsky (2012), Entwistle (2015), and Simone de Beauvoir (1967), who provide a basis for understanding the psychosocial and cultural aspects of fashion.
