Novel Genetic Associations in Anthracycline Cardiomyopathy (ACM) within the Pediatric Population: Scoping Review Protocol
Anthracycline cardiomyopathy (ACM) is a well described complication following anthracycline chemotherapy – which despite this risk, remains ubiquitously used in pediatric oncology, supported by abundant data on efficacy and improved progression-free survival. Currently, there is data suggesting potential genetic drivers for the development of this cardiomyopathy, with a recent increase in ACM associated gene pathways and markers published in the last decade. To analyze the current literature and evidence on genetic markers that drive the development of this cardiomyopathy and highlight potential genetic targets, we will be completing a scoping review. The protocol for conducting this review and disseminating findings is described below.
