Cerebrovascular reactivity in choroid plexus
Motivation: Choroid plexus (CP) plays an important role in the production of CSF and the formation of the blood-CSF barrier, but its vascular function is unclear. Goal(s): We aim to quantify cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) of CP in normal controls. Approach: We applied PCASL with 5%CO2 inhalation in 92 subjects and compared CVR in gray matter, white matter and CP between young and old subjects. Results: CVR of CP was significantly lower than that of gray and white matter, but showed no age-related difference. Impact: This work provides a reference for future studies on CVR changes of CP in pathological conditions.
