Optimal Multi-channel Denial-of-Service Attack Towards the Consensus of Multi-Agent Systems

This paper explores the refinement of multi-channel denial-of-service (MCDoS) attack strategies towards the consensus of multi-agent systems (MASs). Initially, we model a consensus-oriented MAS. Subsequently, we describe the MCDoS attack methodology applied in our study. By integrating the attacker's energy expenditure with the system's consensus error as the optimization objective, we introduce an optimization method to minimize it, thereby identifying the optimal MCDoS attack strategy. The paper concludes with a simulation example that demonstrates the effectiveness of our proposed approach.

Abstract

This paper explores the refinement of multi-channel denial-of-service (MCDoS) attack strategies towards the consensus of multi-agent systems (MASs). Initially, we model a consensus-oriented MAS. Subsequently, we describe the MCDoS attack methodology applied in our study. By integrating the attacker's energy expenditure with the system's consensus error as the optimization objective, we introduce an optimization method to minimize it, thereby identifying the optimal MCDoS attack strategy. The paper concludes with a simulation example that demonstrates the effectiveness of our proposed approach.
