A Simulation and Hybrid Optimization Framework for Satellite Relay Positioning with Conflicting TDoA Measurements
This paper proposes methods to enhance geolocation accuracy in Time-Difference of Arrival (TDoA) systems using mixed optimization strategy. A hybrid optimization framework integrating stochastic-deterministic approaches like Basin-Hopping with adaptive parameters and Nelder-Mead algorithm was developed to efficiently solve both local and global optimization problems. Additionally, a simplified layered optimization technique focusing on specific height layers reduces computational complexity. Tested on various multimodal positioning problems with different measurement uncertainties, the methodology showed significant improvements in convergence rates and positioning accuracy. Future research aims to integrate these methods into existing geoinformation systems and handle problems of measurement non-identifiability in uncertain environments.
