Realization of the Penetration Rate of Automated Driving System-Equipped Vehicles in the Presence of CCAM Enabled New Mobility Services
In this era of rapid digital development; mobility is also being revolutionizing day and night. With new forms of mobility services being tested and included in the urban transportation network, it is high time to evaluate how these services impact the inclusion of automated driving systems equipped vehicles as well as their positive and negative impacts on the traffic network performances. To fill this gap in the research literature a novel approach is developed for skimming out 28 impactful indicators from three different classes: economic adaptability, quality of life and performance of mobility in terms of new mobility services. These indicators are merged to form 9 new indices revealing the state of the network and quality of the social inclusion considering various societal goals which consequently impact the adaptation of AVs thus giving a realistically quantified penetration rate. Then these new forms of mobility incorporated with CCAM, are introduced onto the network following macroscopic demand assignment to give us the traffic performance characteristics.
