Research on Electric Vehicle Sales Strategy Based on Consumer Satisfaction Data

As China vigorously advances its "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" policies, the new energy electric vehicle market has encountered unprecedented development opportunities. This study focuses on three differently positioned electric vehicle brands recently launched by a car company (joint venture brand, domestic brand, and new force brand). By analyzing comprehensive experience survey data from 1964 potential consumers, it explores the relationship between consumer satisfaction and purchase intentions, and assesses the performance of each brand in the market. The research employs a variety of statistical and machine learning methods, including Chi-square tests, genetic algorithms, elastic net regularization, and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), to identify the features most relevant to purchase decisions. The analysis shows that factors such as safety, economy, appearance, and comfort significantly affect consumer purchase decisions. Based on these findings, this paper provides specific recommendations for developing automotive sales strategies, including customized promotional activities and targeted marketing measures for different consumer groups. Moreover, the methodologies and results of this study offer significant reference value for electric vehicle manufacturers to understand market dynamics, optimize product features, and devise effective market strategies.
