Influence of gamma radiation on the structure of porous graphene
To understand the modification effect of gamma radiation on porous graphene, this study investigates the changes in structure and functional groups of porous graphene after exposure to gamma radiation. Porous graphene materials were irradiated using a 60 Co gamma radiation source. Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, TEM, and XRD were utilized for the analysis of the samples. The results indicate that gamma radiation possesses oxidative capabilities on the material surface and the ability to alter the composition of its functional groups, with more significant radiation effects observed at the edges of the pores. For the non-edge parts of the carbon framework, the radiation damage is relatively limited. The experimental study reveals the modification capabilities of gamma radiation, demonstrating the application prospects of gamma radiation functional modification, and provides new ideas to the functional modification of porous graphene and other graphene derivatives.
