IoT based Smart Electricity Energy Meter

Our proposed method involves the development of an IoT-based Smart Electricity Energy Meter utilizing the ESP32 microcontroller and Blynk application. The aim is to offer a user-friendly and cost-effective solution for energy monitoring. By automating data collection and providing real-time insights into voltage, current, power, and total energy consumption via readily available sensors (SCT-013 for current and ZMPT101B for voltage), the system eliminates the need for manual meter readings. This empowers users to optimize their energy usage and potentially reduce electricity bills. With seamless integration of the Blynk app for data visualization, the project meets the growing demand for convenient and accessible energy monitoring, contributing to a more informed and efficient energy management landscape. Real-time monitoring empowers users to understand their energy consumption patterns, fostering increased awareness and potentially prompting behavior changes that lead to lower bills and environmental benefits. The project significantly contributes to the burgeoning trend of smart energy management, promoting informed decision-making and efficient energy utilization. Moreover, building and learning about the technology behind the meter can offer participants a valuable educational experience, facilitating knowledge sharing within communities. Ultimately, by encouraging conscious and informed energy consumption.
