A Little Known Topic: Necrophilia
Necrophilia is a rare paraphilia characterized by sexual attraction and behavior towards dead bodies. This behavior, which has been seen in different cultures and individuals throughout history, has generally been associated with psychological and biological factors. This article examines the definition, historical background and etiological theories of the concept of necrophilia. Focusing on cases of female necrophilia that are rarely reported in the literature, the clinical features and treatment approaches of the cases are discussed. In this context, the case presented includes a detailed clinical evaluation of a 41-year-old female patient who has been interested in the dead since her youth and has worked with the dead professionally. This case is important for a better understanding of this rare condition and for the development of treatment strategies.
