Abstract. I consider both philosophy and social sciences in Africa, with regard to colonialism. How the european intrusion in african lands happened to be, at the same time, the first start of this problematic issue; the relation, and the existence, between philosophy and social sciences? How does it shape the political views of the african states as well as the way people deal with « developement »?
