Cover Feature: Probing Noncovalent Interaction Strengths of Host‐Guest Complexes Using Negative Ion Photoelectron Spectroscopy (Chem. Eur. J. 66/2024)
Host–guest complexes formed by noncovalent interactions (NCIs) exist widely in nature. Gas-phase electrospray ionization–negative ion photoelectron spectroscopy is demonstrated as a direct and precise technique to measure the absolute interaction strength, probe the nature of NCIs, and reveal electronic structure information for H–G complexes. More information can be found in the Concept by H. Sun, Z. Sun and X.-B. Wang (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202402766).
