Complex application of high-intensity phototechnologies in the treatment of melasma
Purpose of the study. In clinical practice, combined methods, as a rule, show better efficiency in the treatment of melasma than monotherapy. Also relevant are the issues of studying the efficiency and safety of various combinations of hardware and drug methods. The aim of the study was to optimize the treatment of patients with melasma using the complex use of high-intensity phototechnologies (IPL therapy, Nd: YAG laser) and thiamidol, taking into account the indicators of oxidative stress. Materials and methods. All patients were divided into 4 groups, depending on the methods of therapy. Lipid peroxidation and total antioxidant activity indices were studied by spectrophotometry using the Spectrophotometer analyzer. The results. The overall dynamics of the LPO index in group A was statistically significant, in group B it was 29.8 %, in group B — 28.2 %, in group D — 36.2 %. The overall dynamics of the TAA index in group A was statistically significant, in group B the index increased by 16.5 %, in group B — by 22.3 %, in group D — by 30.2 %. Conclusion. Thus, it was possible to establish that the use of phototechnologies in melasma statistically significantly increases the level of antioxidant activity, leading to its normalization.
