Analysis and Design of Photovoltaic Integrated Fusion Topology

A novel Photovoltaic (PV) integrated fusion topology is proposed in this paper. The flyback converter is utilized to elevate low PV output voltage to the desired level of fusion topology. Accordingly, the reactive and harmonic currents can be compensated, and the generated active power from PV can also be utilized on-site. Thus, the extra grid-tied inverter for PV can be saved while maintaining the advantages of fusion topology, e.g. lower power loss and ample capacity with the simple system design. The system configuration is presented by analyzing the DC-link voltage requirements in the fusion topology. Simulation results validate the feasibility of the proposed topology, which demonstrates the potential to enhance power network stability, support renewable energy integration, and foster sustainable power system development.
