High-Accuracy Analytical Method for AC Copper Loss in Flat Wire Windings
This paper contrasts 1D, 2D analytical approaches and Mellor method for computing winding AC losses with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), but these methods solely account for the influence of the armature reaction field. Building upon this foundation, a new approach called finite element method magnetics(FEMM) is introduced to incorporate the impact of the reaction field generated by permanent magnets. This enhancement significantly diminishes the computational inaccuracy of the AC loss, particularly in scenarios where the armature reaction field is less pronounced.
