Assessment of Demand Response Capability of Industrial Users with Continuous Processes Considering Multi-Time Scales

Traditional assessment of demand response capability of industrial users typically consider a single time scale, making it difficult to comprehensively assess the demand response capability of industrial users across different time scales. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for assessing industrial user's demand response that takes multi-time scales into account. First, the paper analyzes the three production characteristics of industrial users: supply reliability, periodicity, and continuity, as well as the differences in demand response capabilities of industrial users at different time scales. Then it constructs a framework for assessing demand response capability that considers multi-time scales. Following this, short-term and long-term demand response capability assessment models are proposed. Finally, using a case study of an actual cement plant, the paper applies the proposed assessment model to study and analyze the short-term and long-term demand response capabilities, verifying the reliability of the model and providing industrial users with more accurate decision support for load adjustment.
