Control Strategy for CSI-Fed PMSM Based on Linear Matrix Inequalities
The current source inverter (CSI) fed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) system is a high-order system due to the inclusion of filter capacitors, which complicates the tuning of control parameters. To solve this problem, a control structure based on state feedback and a servo compensator is proposed, and linear matrix inequalities (LMI) are employed to describe the pole placement problem. By the convenient calculation of LMI, the control parameters that meet the performance specifications can be obtained easily. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of this strategy. Compared to traditional approaches, it not only delivers improved dynamic performance and load disturbance rejection but also effectively suppresses current and torque ripples.
