Nonlinear Modeling of PMSM Based on LUT in Electrical Drive Real-time Simulation
Hardware in the loop (HIL) is an advanced testing method for simulating electrical drive systems. As an important component of electrical drive systems, the modeling accuracy of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) will directly affect the real-time simulation effect, while the control algorithm needs to be developed and optimized based on accurate motor models. However, most modeling of PMSM used in HIL testing for electric drive systems adopt the basic linear model, ignoring the nonlinear relationship between magnetic flux and current caused by hysteresis saturation and cross-coupling. This paper studies the nonlinear modeling method of PMSMs and proposes an interpolation algorithm selection method based on the lookup table (LUT) method. The error between interpolation results and finite element data under different algorithms is compared to improve interpolation accuracy while ensuring the real-time performance of HIL in the smallest possible table size. Finally, by building a HIL testing platform, it was verified that the nonlinear model has high accuracy while ensuring real-time simulation.
