Effect of Natural Antioxidant Intake on Oxidative Stress and Resistance after High-Intensity Resistance Exercise
The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the effects of consuming various natural antioxidants after high-intensity resistance exercise on oxidative stress resistance, with the aim of suggesting methods to prevent oxidative disorders in the body.<br/>The research results showed statistically significant differences in α-amylase and serum reactive oxygen species levels in the group that consumed natural antioxidants after high-intensity exercise ( P<.05). In contrast, the non-consumption group after high-intensity resistance exercise exhibited statistically significant increases in α-amylase ( P<.05) and serum reactive oxygen species levels ( P<.001). In terms of antioxidant capacity, the group consuming natural antioxidants after high-intensity exercise showed a statistically significant increase post-experiment, whereas no statistically significant difference was observed in the non-consumption group after high-intensity resistance exercise. Therefore, consuming natural antioxidants after high-intensity resistance exercise reduces α-amylase and serum reactive oxygen species levels, which increase due to increased oxygen consumption, and enhances antioxidant capacity, indicating positive effects in preventing oxidative disorders in the body.
