Properce, Tibulle et Ovide : des appréciations synoptiques de l’amour érotique
Abstract. This present article focuses on the value that Latin elegiac poets placed on erotic love. While sexual pleasure was once considered a taboo subject and placed in the discretion of houses, poets like Properce, Tibulle and Ovide saw it on the contrary as an invaluable source of happiness, a treasure whose interest could not fail to be sung. Sailing against the current of the considerations of their time, these poets, through a very expressive evocation of this love, will also try to make it the solution against the evil of living.
